Thunderstorms likely in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while the weather in Islamabad and its surroundings will be hot and humid during the day, but partly cloudy at night, and rain with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most of the plains of the country during the next 24 hours, but there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places in northeastern Punjab, Potohar region, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjacent hilly areas.

The weather is expected to be hot and humid in Islamabad and its surroundings, but partly cloudy in the morning and night, and rain with strong winds and thundershowers at a few places.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain with strong winds and thundershowers is expected at a few places in Swat, Dir, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, Khyber, Bajaur, Orakzai and Kohat.

The Meteorological Department said that the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most districts of Punjab, however, rain with strong winds and thundershowers is likely at a few places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Khushab, Gujrat, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal and surrounding areas tonight.

The weather has been predicted to be hot and humid in most districts of Sindh, however, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy in coastal areas including Karachi, apart from rain at a few places.
