The Sindh government has cautioned the public to refrain from sharing personal information or making any payments in connection with the Pink Scooty Scheme, saying scooties are being provided completely free of cost to eligible women.
Through Sindh Information Department’s X account, the provincial government has alerted the public regarding fake social media messages and advertisements circulating on various platforms about the Pink Scooty Scheme.
It said the government has taken serious notice of those fraudulent claims, which falsely suggest that citizens can participate in the Pink Scooty initiative by registering and making payments online.

The government clarified that all such messages are fabricated, false, and misleading. The Pink Scooty Scheme is a welfare initiative launched by the Sindh government to empower women and promote safe and independent travel. Under the program, scooties are being provided completely free of cost to eligible women, the post read.
Citizens have been cautioned not to trust any unofficial websites, links, or social media accounts, and to refrain from sharing personal information or making any payments in connection with the scheme.
The Sindh government has urged the public to rely only on official communication channels and verified government pages for authentic information to avoid falling victim to scams or fraud. Authorities confirmed that legal action has been initiated against individuals and groups spreading fake messages and misleading the public online.
Pink Scooty Scheme
In February, the Sindh government announced a scheme to award free “pink scooters” to women through a lucky draw system, aimed at empowering female commuters in Sindh. The initiative follows the provincial government’s launch of the ‘Pink Bus’ service in 2023, dedicated to female passengers.
Last month, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari handed over keys to the beneficiaries of the scheme. “It is a matter of pride that Sindh has already introduced electric buses in public transport and then launched the dedicated Pink Bus Service for women,” Bilawal said.
The scheme remains open to eligible applicants who meet the set criteria, which include being permanent residents of Sindh, holding a valid driving licence, and either being enrolled in an educational institution or employed.
