All public and private educational institutions across Jhelum district will remain closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, following directives from the District Education Authority (DEA). The decision comes in response to the current law and order situation and aims to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff.

According to the official notification issued by the Chief Executive Officer of the DEA Jhelum, the closure order was made under instructions from the Deputy Commissioner as a precautionary step. School heads have been directed to promptly inform parents, students, and faculty members about the closure and to take necessary measures to protect school premises during the suspension of classes.

The DEA has also instructed school administrators to stay in contact with field officers for further updates. Regular academic activities are expected to resume on Tuesday, October 14, unless new orders are issued by the authorities.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has confirmed that schools and colleges in other districts of the province will remain open on October 13.
