A bizarre claim has emerged from Uttar Pradesh, India, where a man named Meraj alleges that his wife transforms into a snake at night and attempts to bite him. Meraj says the strange behavior has occurred repeatedly, and, feeling threatened, he lodged a formal complaint seeking protection.

Authorities confirmed they have opened an investigation following his complaint to the district magistrate.  The woman, however, strongly denied Meraj’s account, accusing him of harassing her over dowry demands and plotting to marry another woman.

The story has sparked widespread discussion among locals and on social media, with many questioning the veracity of Meraj’s allegations while awaiting the outcome of the inquiry.
