ISLAMABAD: Professor Dr. Qamar-ul-Zaman, while describing the friendship between Pakistan and China as eternal, said that China has proven in every difficult time that it is a trustworthy friend of Pakistan. Just as China is making barren land fertile, Pakistan should also take advantage of this technology and promote research in this field. He expressed these views at the launch ceremony of the book “Pakistan China All-Weather Strategic Partner” by senior journalist, columnist, and scholar Dr. Rashid Jamal. At this event held at the Aird Agriculture University Rawalpindi, chief guest Dr. Talat Shabbir, guest of honor Abdullah Hameed Gul, as well as Member of Provincial Assembly Malik Mansoor Afsar, Professor Dr. Abdul Saboor, Professor Mahmood Ijaz Butt, Shah Jamal Hashmi and Ms. Tasleem Ikram spoke about the book. Vice Chancellor Dr. Qamar-ul-Zaman said that China has launched many projects in Pakistan to promote agriculture and increase agriculture in Pakistan, including a project at the Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, which is yielding many benefits. We need to learn from China’s development model.
Dr. Rashid Jamal said that the purpose of writing the book is to spread the historical and exemplary diplomatic, military, economic and brotherly relations established between Pakistan and China throughout the world. The CPEC project has also highlighted how Pakistan has brought about positive changes and opened new avenues for development.
Dr. Talat Shabbir said that Pakistan helped connect China with the world in the seventies. China still values this. Today, China is fully supporting Pakistan in the political, diplomatic and strategic fields. The friendship between Pakistan and China is deeper than the sea, higher than the mountains, and now this friendship has turned into an “iron friendship.” China has proven that it is Pakistan’s most sincere friend by supporting it in every difficult time. Abdullah Hamid Gul said that there is no doubt that China is our most trusted friend, but we should not forget that when China was alone, Pakistan played the most important role in connecting China to the world. We should learn from China’s culture and its development model how we can take our country on the path of development. He said that the nation of Pakistan has no lack of capacity and talent, they have more skills and abilities than other nations, and there is a need to use them properly in the national interest.
Professor Dr. Abdul Saboor said that Dr. Rashid Jamal’s effort is very good. In his book, he has presented the importance of CPEC and its journey in a very beautiful way. Whatever the situation in the world, the relations between Pakistan and China remain strong and stable. Member of Provincial Assembly Malik Mansoor Afsar said that Pakistan is a superstition. The Muslim League government has played an important role in strengthening China-Pakistan relations and completing CPEC, Books like this should be given the same level of recognition in Pakistan. Professor Mahmood Ijaz Butt said that our most trusted friend in this region is China. The way China eliminated corruption and poverty from its society, we also need to work on these lines. Dr. Rashid Jamal was congratulated by the University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Qamar-ul-Zaman, and other scholars for the global recognition of the book. Prominent literary figures and poets from Rawalpindi and Islamabad attended the event
