Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan achieved a remarkable milestone on Sunday, becoming the only batter in T20 internationals to hit three sixes off India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. The feat came during the Asia Cup 2025 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Farhan had already made history earlier in the tournament when he became the first Pakistani to clear the boundary against Bumrah in international cricket during the group-stage clash on September 14. In that match, he struck two towering sixes — one over long-on from a good-length delivery and another over backward square off a short ball.

In the high-pressure final, the right-hander carried forward his confidence. After a steady beginning, he unleashed a crisp cover drive for four, followed by a lofted boundary over midwicket and then a massive six over mid-off, taking 12 runs in a single over from Bumrah.

Farhan has now scored 51 runs off Bumrah in T20Is from 34 deliveries, decorated with three sixes and six fours. His brilliant knock in the final ended at 57 from 38 balls, featuring five boundaries and three maximums.

Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir praised the effort, noting that it was the first time he had seen any batter handle Bumrah with such command, and that honor now belongs to Sahibzada Farhan.
