Police claimed to have arrested one suspect and are conducting raids to apprehend others following a series of separate sexual assault incidents targeting women and a minor child across various districts of the city, according to official reports.

The incidents, detailed in First Information Reports (FIRs), outline a disturbing pattern of crimes occurring over recent days.

In the first case, reported in the Balochni police precinct, Waqas and Awais, allegedly abducted a 17-year-old girl from her home in Area 55-RB after finding her alone. They are accused of taking her to a hideout where Waqas sexually assaulted her.

In Saddar police jurisdiction, a suspect identified as Sultan Mehmood, who came to install tiles at the home of Muhammad Tahseen in Area 228-RB, is alleged to have lured the homeowner’s wife, drugged her into unconsciousness and then sexually assaulted her. The accused also reportedly filmed the victim.

In the Adam Chowk area of Ghulam Muhammad Abad, a woman was assaulted by suspects Noman Ali and Muhammad Imran after they found her alone at home.

In a separate case highlighting brazen criminality, two accused, Ashiq Butt and Noman Butt, allegedly scaled the wall of a house in Ghulam Muhammad Abad 2, Omar Colony, and armed with a weapon, sexually assaulted the wife, ‘F’, of resident Ghulam Shabbir before fleeing the scene.

An 8-year-old girl was lured by a suspect, Shehamand, while she was on her way to a shop in Rodala. The accused took her to a nearby sugarcane field and assaulted her. The suspect reportedly gave the child Rs50 upon releasing her.
