Outstanding students from public colleges who secured top positions in the intermediate examinations were awarded electric bikes for the first time in Sindh. The prize distribution ceremony was held at the Sindh Scouts Auditorium which was attended by a large number of education officials, teachers, students, and parents.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary of Universities and Boards Abbas Baloch expressed satisfaction over the increasing transparency in the examination system. He added that for the past two years, no inquiries have been raised regarding intermediate results, marking a visible improvement in the credibility of the boards.

“For the first time in many years, board positions have been officially acknowledged without controversy,” he said. “Nearly all boards announced results before the MDCAT exams this year, and deserving students will now be awarded scholarships-a facility previously denied to them despite high performance.”

He also reiterated the government’s commitment to conducting future examinations with transparency and fairness, and to continuously improving the standard of assessment.

The chairman of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), Faqeer Muhammad Lakho, informed the audience that the electric bikes were distributed under the prime minister’s initiative. He stressed that providing modern facilities to students is a shared responsibility of the government and the education boards, aimed at supporting youth in their academic and professional development.

He further announced that this initiative will be continued every year until 2030, to reward merit and inspire other students to strive for excellence.
