Turkish and Bangladeshi diplomats meet Sindh CM, agree on investment

Karachi: Turkish and Bangladeshi diplomats met with the Sindh Chief Minister, in which they agreed on investment and mutual trade.

Welcoming the new Consul General of Turkey, Argul Kadak, on his arrival in Sindh, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that Pakistan and Turkey have long-standing and strong relations, which will be further promoted. He assured that the Sindh government will cooperate fully with Turkey.

During the meeting, the Sindh Chief Minister said that there is a need to further enhance trade relations between Pakistan and Turkey and both countries are taking practical steps in this regard.

Murad Ali Shah, while inviting Turkish investors to invest in Sindh, said that various mega projects including energy, water and roads are underway in the province. He said that Karachi is a city with a population of more than 21 million and there are vast investment opportunities in public transport and infrastructure projects here.

Turkish Consul General Argul Kadak said that Turkish investors are interested in investing in Sindh. Karachi is an excellent city where people are loving. It was also agreed in the meeting that the head of the Sindh Investment Department will soon meet the Consul General of Turkey to make practical progress on investment projects.

Meanwhile, the new Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Muhammad Saqib Sadaqat, also called on the Chief Minister Sindh. Murad Ali Shah welcomed him and said that Pakistan and Bangladesh are brotherly Muslim countries. There is a dire need to promote trade between the two countries.

The recent flood situation was also discussed in the meeting and emphasis was placed on further strengthening bilateral relations.
