Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon, along with Provincial Minister for Energy, Planning, and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, met with officials of Chinese electric charging company AE Auto in Shanghai, China.

The meeting focused on the establishment of charging stations for electric vehicles across Sindh. Company officials briefed Memon and Shah on modern charging technologies. Memon shared his plan to develop an extensive network of charging points in both urban and rural areas of the province.

He emphasised that the future of transport is tied to clean energy and electric vehicles, and Sindh cannot afford to lag behind. He stressed that establishing electric vehicle charging stations across the province is crucial for environmental protection.

Memon added that the Sindh government will provide full support and facilities to companies investing in the alternative energy sector. The initiative aims to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, cut air pollution, and create new economic opportunities through green technology.

Shah said that energy and transport are closely linked in today’s world. He noted that Sindh has already made significant progress in renewable energy, and electric mobility represents the next critical step. He added that electric vehicles will not only reduce reliance on traditional fuels but also help address the challenges posed by climate change.
