Prime Minister arrives in Riyadh at the invitation of the Crown Prince, receives a grand welcome from Saudi fighter jets upon entering the airspace

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Riyadh from Islamabad on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while the Prime Minister’s plane was given a grand welcome by Saudi F-15 fighter jets upon entering Saudi airspace.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, upon arrival at King Khalid Airport, Riyadh, the Prime Minister and the Pakistani delegation were warmly welcomed by Deputy Governor of Riyadh, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed al-Maliki, Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq and senior diplomatic officials. The green crescent flag was hoisted throughout the city upon the Prime Minister’s arrival in Riyadh.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister was given a 21-gun salute and a splendid contingent of Saudi Arabian forces saluted him.

Later, the Prime Minister will go to the Royal Diwan, Yamama Palace to meet His Excellency Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The Prime Minister and the Pakistani delegation will be officially welcomed at Yamama Palace.

The bilateral meeting will review all aspects of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations in detail. The two leaders will also discuss regional and global developments of mutual interest.

During the visit, formal progress is expected to be made in implementing cooperation in various fields between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which reflects the shared commitment of the two countries to further promote the long-standing brotherly relations.

The Prime Minister saluted the Saudi fighter jet and also thanked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman through a microphone after going into the cockpit.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that Saudi Air Force aircraft took over the security of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s plane as soon as it entered Saudi airspace.

Khawaja Asif said that the Saudi Arabian government’s demonstration of brotherly love and respect, this position in the Islamic world is the result of Allah’s grace, Shahbaz Sharif’s diplomatic skills and the unparalleled achievements of our armed forces.
