A woman was reportedly stabbed to death in the name of honour, by her husband and brother, in a house in the Awami Colony area of Korangi. Police have arrested the accused.

The woman, identified as 40-year-old Zeenat, wife of Ghulam Qambar Laghari, had reportedly been married twice and had three children from her first husband. Her second husband, Laghari, along with Zeenat’s brother, Mitha Khan Jamali, used a sharp instrument to stab her in the neck, and various parts of her body, killing her for honour. Upon notification of the incident, police reached the spot and summoned the Crime Scene Unit to collect evidence from the scene, while the deceased woman’s body was shifted to the hospital for legal action.

SHO Awami Colony, Khalid Memon, revealed that police were informed about the incident by a citizen who contacted Madadgar 15, after which police promptly arrested the accused. Additionally, SHO Memon reported that, after committing the crime, the accused disposed of the murder weapon. A search for the weapon is ongoing, along with further investigations into the incident.
