Asia Cup: India defeats Pakistan by seven wickets

DUBAI: India defeats Pakistan by seven wickets in Asia Cup 2025.
In the sixth match of the Asia Cup T20 tournament 2025, India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets.
The high-voltage match of Group A in the Asia Cup T20 tournament was played in Dubai, where Pakistan won the toss against arch-rivals India and decided to bat first.
Pakistan’s batting line-up against India was badly shaken, the top order went out of order, the national team was able to give India a target of 128 runs to win.
The Pakistani team scored 127 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs while playing first.

Pakistan made a very disappointing start to their innings, with opener Saim Ayub getting caught by Jasprit Bumrah off Hardik Pandya in the first over and returning to the pavilion without scoring any runs.
Mohammad Haris, who came out on the one-down crease, could not stay on the pitch for long and left after scoring only three runs in the second over. Thus, two Pakistani batsmen had returned to the pavilion with a total score of six in two overs.
After this, Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan showed responsible batting and took the team’s total score to 45 runs, but on the fourth ball of the seventh over, Fakhar Zaman was caught trying to play a boundary, he played an innings of 17 runs.
The Pakistani batsmen were losing wickets one after the other.
Captain Salman Ali Agha was out for three, Hassan Nawaz for five and Mohammad Nawaz for zero.
Opener Sahibzada Farhan played a long innings, scoring 40 runs in 44 balls with the help of three sixes and a four before being caught by Kuldeep Yadav’s ball to Hartik Pandya.
After them, Faheem Ashraf was out for 11 and Sufyan Muqim for 10 runs, while Abrar Ahmed Safar and Shaheen Shah Afridi remained not out on 33 runs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi’s excellent batting in the last overs of the innings played a major role in setting the target of 128. He scored 33 runs in 16 balls with the help of four sixes and was not out.
For India, Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets, Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel took two wickets each, while Hartik Pandya and Varun Chakravardy took one wicket each.
India started chasing the target when openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma scored 22 runs without loss in the first two overs.
India’s first loss came when Shubman Gill was caught by Mohammad Haris off Saim Ayub’s bowling on the last ball of the second over, scoring 10 runs.
India’s second wicket fell in the form of opener Abhishek Sharma, who caught Faheem Ashraf off Saim Ayub’s bowling for an individual score of 31.
Tilak Verma also fell victim to Saim Ayub after scoring 31 runs.
