KARACHI: The annual Masooma-e-Sindh Bibi Maham Khadija (SA) binte Imam Musa Kazim (AS) International Conference will be held next month in Karachi, where scholars and leaders representing diverse schools of thought will deliver speeches. This decision was taken during an important meeting of the Zaireen Khidmat Committee of Roza-e-Athar Masooma-e-Sindh, Agham Kot, held in Karachi under the chairmanship of the Committee’s head and Secretary General of Karachi Editors Club, Syed Manzar Naqvi.
The meeting thoroughly discussed arrangements for organizing the conference, the ongoing construction works of Roza-e-Athar Masooma-e-Sindh, and other significant matters, leading to key decisions.
According to a declaration issued at the conclusion of the meeting, it was stated that the construction of Roza-e-Athar Masooma-e-Sindh is being carried out by the Auqaf Department, Government of Sindh. However, it has come to the Committee’s knowledge that certain individuals, in the name of various organizations and foundations, are collecting donations from believers in different areas of Sindh and even at the Roza-e-Athar Agham Kot itself for the shrine’s construction. Such actions were strongly condemned in the declaration.
The announcement clarified that the construction of Roza-e-Athar is being funded by a special development grant allocated by the Government of Sindh. Therefore, the faithful across the country are informed not to give any donations or construction material to any organization, foundation, or individual in this regard.
The Zaireen Khidmat Committee further urged the Chief Minister of Sindh and other relevant officials to form a high-powered committee on behalf of the Sindh government to ensure effective check, balance, and monitoring of the ongoing construction work. This would guarantee that the project is completed within the stipulated time frame in a satisfactory manner.
The meeting was attended by Mukhtiar Ahmed Soomro, Zawar Abdul Sattar Dars, Niaz Hussain Laghari, Syed Abdul Sattar Kazmi, Syed Shabbir Naqvi, Ghulam Mehdi Laghari, Aun-ul-Hassan Dars, and others, along with the Legal Advisor, Supreme Court Advocate, Ibad-ul-Hussnain.
