A low-level flood situation persists in the Indus River at the Guddu Barrage with water level expected to rise further, Dunya News reported on Friday.

The floodwaters are moving from Head Panjnad toward Sindh, and the water level at Guddu Barrage was continuously rising. The inflow of water at Guddu Barrage has been recorded at 348,000 cusecs, while at Sukkur Barrage, the inflow has reached 331,155 cusecs.

Near Obaro, the water level in the Indus River continues to rise, submerging several villages in the Katcha (riverine) areas. Sugarcane and cotton crops have also been destroyed due to the flooding.
