RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 19 terrorists linked to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in three separate intelligence-based operations conducted in Mohmand, North Waziristan, and Bannu districts on September 9 and 10, the ISPR confirmed Tuesday.
According to the military’s media wing, 14 terrorists were killed in Mohmand’s Guluno area after troops raided a hideout on intelligence reports. The slain militants were described as Indian-sponsored Khawarij involved in multiple terror activities.
In North Waziristan’s Datta Khel area, four terrorists were neutralized, while another was killed in Bannu. Arms and ammunition were recovered during all three actions.
ISPR said sanitization operations are ongoing and reaffirmed that security forces are determined to root out Indian-backed militancy threatening peace in the region.
