11 places in Islamabad declared dengue hotspots, 12 more cases reported in 24 hours

Dengue virus has started spreading in Islamabad and 12 more cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.

According to Express News, new cases of dengue are emerging in Islamabad and 12 new patients have been reported in the last 24 hours who are under treatment in different hospitals.

11 patients were reported from rural areas and 1 from urban areas, while 5 cases were reported from Rawal, 2 from Tarlai, and 1 case each from other areas.

Dengue surveillance teams inspected 151 places, 11 places were declared dengue hotspots, while immediate safety measures have been taken in the affected places.

More than 31,000 anti-dengue activities were carried out by the administration in Islamabad, while spraying and measures were taken in 813 houses around the houses of 17 patients.

Strict actions are being taken by the administration to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes.
